Help a young lamb survive and thrive!
Our flock of about 450 ewes will birth about 900 lambs in May and June. Some lambs will be unable to stay with mama, and must be cared for. Your adoption fee helps cover the cost of bottle feeding a lamb until it is ready to graduate to its forever home. By adopting a foster lamb, you help a caring, busy sheep farm nurture the most vulnerable to enable them to survive.
Here's what you can expect from your adoption.
- You'll receive a digital, printable adoption certificate.
- You get to choose the lamb's name.
- We'll send a photo of your lamb, and any information we have on its history.
- You're entitled to one free, staffed visit with the lambs. Please note, we are not able to guarantee a visit with your specific lamb. Our foster lambs will move on to their forever homes on their schedule. Your lamb may graduate before you are able to come. If so, you can still visit the rest of the lambs (which, honestly, is pretty amazing).
Please contact us to arrange a visit as soon as you receive your announcement. Your lamb will be born between mid-May and mid-June. One per customer. This is a virtual adoption; you do not take your lamb home.
Thank you for helping our neediest wee babes!

This was my first time fostering a lamb - a birthday treat to myself (and likely to become an annual tradition) Loved being able to name Peanut, and help provide for his care. As luck would have it Topsy posted several reels about his first day, so we were all treated to a behind the scenes look at the amazing work the shepherds do for these wee wooly ones who for one reason or another are "orphaned" - the work and care, and passion. Happy to support them in any way possible. The visit to the farm to meet, feed and snuggle my foster lamb was the icing on the cake for this animal lover, truly. Thank you Topsy for this wonderful opportunity.
This is my 4th year of adopting. Each year has had the same experience. Topsy Farm exudes love for the farm and their animals. Always quick to respond to emails that keep you abreast of your chosen lamb. It has been and will continue to be my honour to help out the farm. It’s a small gesture that I can offer. Plus as an aside, the wool from the wool shed is devine.
Our adoption of a foster lamb was a Family Experience which began as a Christmas gift last December. We talked about life on a Sheep Farm, followed daily videos from Jake, attended to watch (and participate) in Kayleigh’s shearing of sheep), purchased a beautiful blanket from The Wool Shop, spent a fun evening naming our soon-to-be lamb (“Snickers”), and hopped the ferry one more time for a half hour of feeding, snuggling and cuddles. Our grand-girls all loved this whole experience … just about as much as we did. Thank you Topsy Farms, for making this all possible. Life experiences are the best.
Very thoughtful staff and volunteers... had a great time... thank you kindly
Caring for a lamb who has been separated from its mother for whatever reason is expensive work. I am happy to help out Topsy by doing my part to keep the farmland a farm. The fact that I get to choose the sex and the name makes it that much more charming. Topsy sent me a picture of Florence (aka Flossie) and offered a visit to see her before she went off to her forever home. While I was not able to go, it makes me feel so good that I had a part in saving a lamb!
