What a wonderful experience!

This was my first time fostering a lamb - a birthday treat to myself (and likely to become an annual tradition) Loved being able to name Peanut, and help provide for his care. As luck would have it Topsy posted several reels about his first day, so we were all treated to a behind the scenes look at the amazing work the shepherds do for these wee wooly ones who for one reason or another are "orphaned" - the work and care, and passion. Happy to support them in any way possible. The visit to the farm to meet, feed and snuggle my foster lamb was the icing on the cake for this animal lover, truly. Thank you Topsy for this wonderful opportunity.

Lamb adoption

This is my 4th year of adopting. Each year has had the same experience. Topsy Farm exudes love for the farm and their animals. Always quick to respond to emails that keep you abreast of your chosen lamb. It has been and will continue to be my honour to help out the farm. It’s a small gesture that I can offer. Plus as an aside, the wool from the wool shed is devine.

A Family Experience

Our adoption of a foster lamb was a Family Experience which began as a Christmas gift last December. We talked about life on a Sheep Farm, followed daily videos from Jake, attended to watch (and participate) in Kayleigh’s shearing of sheep), purchased a beautiful blanket from The Wool Shop, spent a fun evening naming our soon-to-be lamb (“Snickers”), and hopped the ferry one more time for a half hour of feeding, snuggling and cuddles. Our grand-girls all loved this whole experience … just about as much as we did. Thank you Topsy Farms, for making this all possible. Life experiences are the best.

Beyond the Lamb

Caring for a lamb who has been separated from its mother for whatever reason is expensive work. I am happy to help out Topsy by doing my part to keep the farmland a farm. The fact that I get to choose the sex and the name makes it that much more charming. Topsy sent me a picture of Florence (aka Flossie) and offered a visit to see her before she went off to her forever home. While I was not able to go, it makes me feel so good that I had a part in saving a lamb!
