Lovely colour

I have a bit of a mixed review about this wool.... here goes. I have a pattern for felted slippers, which I have done before, with #4 worsted weight pure wool from a local wool shop. They came out exactly my size (7.5) .
I saw this wool online and although it didn't say #4 worsted, I ordered this, along with Green Heather, and Red. When it arrived I knew it was thicker than my local wool shop wool but went ahead with my size anyway. Using the red as a contrast around the top of the clog. It ended up being much much bigger than my previous ones. On felting them, the red bled into the blue. A lot. so the blue is now a purple colour. They did not felt much at all, so I repeated the felting, but couldn't get them down in size. Now my husband, who is size 11 is wearing them proudly üòä On my original pair I didn't do a contrast colour, so can't say what would have happened if I had. But I have seen pics online of felted slippers in 2 contrasting colours so don't know how they avoided it bleeding.
I also purchased green heather too, but won't be mixing it with the red, and also might find a pattern that doesn't require felting.
I REALLY love dealing with this company though, and purchased 2 of the wool pillows, which we love.
I found this company from an article on The Last of Us, on CBC üòä

Beautiful product

Topsy Farm yarn is everything I was looking for: local (for me within 200km), sustainable, natural and family owned. The next best thing to spinning my own sheep's wool, which I just don't have enough time to do anymore! I'll be ordering more in the future, and will recommend Topsy Farm to anyone who asks where I got that gorgeous sweater I'll be making soon!

Lovely to work with

Ordered this to make myself a sweater. Colour gorgeous as shown and yarn is great to work with. I can see will soften up Ivey with wear. Beware there is wide colour variation within dye lot ( more grey to brighter blue). I learned the hard way to knit with two skeins alternating rows to avoid colour blocking.
