Prepare yourself for an extraordinary weekend. You and a guest will spend 2 nights in the yurt, tucked into a corner of the yard at Topsy Farms. Wake to birdsong, watch the stars by your private campfire, refresh yourself in the lake or the outdoor shower. Walk in the woods, go for a paddle, or simply relax in the hammock.
On Saturday evening, you'll be treated to seasonal fare in an unparalleled setting, prepared by our friends at Primitive Catering. Share the bounty of herbs and vegetables from Sally’s Garden, and pasture raised meats, fire roasted in front of your eyes. Offered to our guests with rustic boards of cured meats, local cheeses, and wild edibles from around the Island, we promise a unique and unforgettable meal. Our team gathers succulent ingredients and composes beautiful and savory offerings for our guests to graze on.
The sun-dappled cooking space is nestled in the Old Root Cellar at Topsy Farms. Almost everything you see has been created from re-purposed steel and salvaged farm equipment. We have been organic gardening since a time when that was just called “gardening”; decades spent intentionally building up the nutrients in our soil to a point of maximum fertility. Our hippie founders would have it no other way.
Please note, this event is open to the public. While the yurt and its facilities are yours alone, there will be other guests at the dinner and around the farm yard for the duration of the event.
