Topsy Farms yarn is wonderful to work with. It is soft with natural lanolin, sturdy and alive to the hands, with fibres unbroken and almost silky. Equivalent to worsted weight, each skein weighs 4 oz. (or 113 grams) and is roughly 200 yards long (2-ply). Since most knitting stores sell yarn in 50 gram balls, be aware that you only need half the number of skeins called for in a pattern.
